Our Plant

Home for Kajun Kettle Foods is an 86,000 square foot, USDA manufacturing plant located just west of New Orleans, formerly a Pillsbury Plant. With kettles ranging from 300 to 3,000 pound capacities, our plant production capacity exceeds 75 million pounds per year.

Our freezer capability is significant with two freezers: a -10º and a -20º blast freezer that lock in fresh flavors for delicious soups and sauces and entrées.

Fully automated Cryovac Packaging creates convenient boilable bags for easy-to-serve preparation. Our packaging capabilities includes:

• 8 oz sample Cryovac sachets

• 2lb, 4lb, 5lb, 8lb Cryovac bags

• 2-kilo (4.4lb) Pails

• 12-kilo (26.4lb) Pails, 45lb Pails

We also offer warehousing which frees up precious storage space for many of our customers. Available warehouse space amounts to:

• 45,000 sq ft of dry storage

• 2,000 sq ft of refrigerated storage

• 6,000 sq ft of frozen storage

Our warehouse employees adhere to strict HACCP guidelines and take great pride in a well organized, clean facility.

Our excellent Quality Assurance Department is the backbone of the organization, assuring that all production meets the highest food industry standards.

Strong HACCP Programs ensure that superior manufacturing practices and procedures are followed by all employees. Our QA Team achieves superior ratings each year from AIB and NSF Cook & Thurber organizations.

Third-Party Microbiological Testing is performed on a statistical sampling basis. Also, taste, color and viscosity testing is performed on every production batch following a freeze-thaw process.
